Friday night, Asher Roth made an appearance in Ada, Ohio. He
was the star artist for Tunes on the Tundra. Tunes on the Tundra was brought
back last year with We the Kings, and the goal is to continue this concert
tradition annually.
On Friday, I spent a lot of time in King Horn after classes
to help set up. I then went home to get ready for the concert and eat dinner
quickly. Once my littles and I were finally ready to go we headed over to King
Horn, so we would have a good place to stand.
Around 8 p.m. the concert started. Asher performed for about
an hour and was very engaged with the crowd. Within the first song, he was down
dancing and moving throughout the crowd. Overall, he had a lot of energy and
really kept the crowd engaged. We were even able to convince him to do an
encore. One of his most popular songs is, I Love College, which was a big hit
for the crowd and the official video can be found here.
Once the concert was over, I was asked to participate in the
meet and greet. Once everyone had cleared out from the concert, my littles and
I followed the group who was meeting Asher Roth. We had a quick ten-minute meet
and greet with Asher Roth. During this time, we got a variety of pictures with
him. You had a partner for your picture and then there was also a group
picture. When meeting him, he was very down to earth. Once the meet and greet was
over, Asher left for his next performance in Ann Arbor, Michigan and we all
went back to helping with tear down. Overall, if was a fun night with great
friends.
