Weekend Up North

As soon as class got out on Friday, I got in the car and prepared to made the six hour drive up to Ludington, Michigan where my family was camping. I just had to drive home to where my mom was waiting for me, so we could do the rest of the drive and I could be a passenger. During the four-hour drive from Ada to home, I saw 15 cops and three car accidents. Once I finally got home, I quick ate dinner and then my mom, the dogs and I headed north to Poncho’s Pond. By the time we finally got there, it was bed time for me because it had been a long day of travel, class and work.

Saturday and Sunday we didn’t do much, besides lay out at the pool and play many games of corn
hole. My aunt and I would start our days off, by getting to the pool around noon. We would spend the day laying in the adult pool on our tubes. We had many individuals jealous of us because we didn’t have any children to watch and were just enjoying the day. At the end of the day we would go down to the beach and watch the sunset on Lake Michigan. By the time we got back we would all throw on sweatpants and sweatshirts and spend the night out by the fire.

Monday morning, my mom and I got up early and headed home, so I could make it back to Ada before it got dark out. We got home around 10 a.m.  and then by 11 a.m. I was back on the road to Ada. After about an hour and fifteen minutes I was in East Lansing and made a detour to Michigan State to have lunch with Luke. After about an hour I was back on the road. Finally, after three hours in the car, I made it back. Now it was time to do homework and get ready for classes on Tuesday. Overall, it was a relaxing weekend spent with family.
